Support
myNutrition is made and supported by one person — you’ll get a reply from a human who knows the app inside out. We aim to respond within a few days.
To help us help you quickly, please include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem appeared.
Please don’t include sensitive personal or health details in a first email — we’ll never need your diary to fix a problem.
Common questions
I’ve forgotten my password. Can you reset it?
No — and that’s deliberate. Your data is encrypted with keys derived from your password, so there is no back door: we could not read or unlock your data even if you asked us to. When you set up the app, you were given a recovery code; with it, you can regain access from the lock screen.
If both the password and the recovery code are lost, the encrypted data cannot be recovered — by anyone. The lock screen offers a reset that erases the app so you can start over.
Is my data private?
Yes. There are no tracking SDKs and no analytics. The app is local-first by default. Your profile data, and your logged nutrition data, is stored on your iPhone, encrypted. The myNutrition cloud service is part of the full version; if you use it, your data remains encrypted on our EU-based server. Only your account email address, a one-way login code derived from your password, and technical details saved beside each backup are not encrypted on the myNutrition cloud. Those technical details are: which day the backup is for, how big it is, a short code we use to check it arrived undamaged, which version of our backup format it uses, which version of the app made it, and when it was saved and last changed. If you agreed to the cloud privacy notice, we also keep a note of which notice it was, which version, when you agreed, and which version of the app you were using. Between them, those dates and app versions show which days you used the app and roughly what time zone you are in. The backup itself is the only thing we cannot read. Only your password and recovery code can unlock it.
The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Can I back up or export my data?
Yes. From the app’s Settings you can create a backup file on your device whenever you like, and optionally turn on encrypted cloud backup. Meal plans can also be shared as files.
Which devices does myNutrition run on?
myNutrition is an iPhone app. It is not out yet — it is coming to the App Store. There is no Android or web version.
A food's numbers look wrong. What should I do?
The catalog is built from official food-composition data, but food varies and mistakes are possible. Email us the food’s name and what looks off — catalog reports are treated seriously and checked against the original sources.
